Question: In what leagues does HDE participate?

Answer: No Leauges, Tournament teams only.

Question: How long is the season?

Answer: Our regular season runs from March through the end of July. There is a Team Weekend early in the season.  

Question: Can my child play other sports during the hockey season?

Answer: Playing multiple sports is always beneficial for the all-around athlete. To that end, playing other sports is encouraged. That said, HDE plays at the highest level of competitive hockey and that level of play requires a high degree of commitment to your team and to hockey. 

Question: How much travel can I expect?

Answer: Depending on the age your competitor is playing, tournaments are held in destination cities all over North America.

Question: How many games per season can we expect?

Answer:  Each tournament you will play 5-7 games. 

Question: How many tournaments will we play?

Answer:  Depending on your team, 2-4 tournaments are included in your fees, adjusted accordingly. We try and recommend to NOT compare teams within the organization (i.e with respect to total game count and/or the number of tournaments). 

Question: Do we have to register with USA Hockey?

Answer: NO
